About Partners for a Healthy Baby
Curriculum for Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Professionals
The FSU Partners curriculum supports maternal, infant, and early childhood professional to address the multifaceted needs of expectant and parenting families. Partners is a "two generational" curriculum designed to meet the needs of both the parents and the child. We know that unless the family is stable, they cannot possibly meet the health and developmental needs of their young children. For that reason, Partners covers a wide array of issues related to Family Development; Maternal & Family Health; Preparing and Caring for Baby/Toddler; and Baby's/Toddler's Development. With 675+ Purposes and corresponding Parent Handouts, in English and Spanish, to choose from, visits can be planned to meet the specific needs of each family.

The Partners curriculum is a fully searchable, web-based system accessible from desktops, laptops, tablets, or smart-phones. It allows the user to easily find and then print the information they wish to share with their families, or they can email or text the information to the family prior to or after a visit.
Before Baby Arrives
Before Baby Arrives provides information on the first trimester through month 9 of pregnancy. Content in Before Baby Arrives is intended to support healthy birth outcomes and covers topics such as helping expectant families know what to expect on a prenatal visit; understanding the physical and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy; helping moms/dads/partners prepare for parenthood; healthy foods to eat and how to exercise safely during pregnancy; how baby is developing; and how to maintain healthy relationships.
Baby's 1st Year
Months 1 - 12
Baby's 1st Year provides information for the user to support families as they navigate through their baby’s first year of life. Content covered includes information to support mom’s physical and emotional health; encourage dad/partner involvement; empower families to get their needs met and know how to access community resources; promote healthy nutrition and exercise habits for the whole family; help family deal with all aspects of caring for a new baby including feeding, sleeping, and diapering routines; promote family’s efforts with bonding, attachment, and responsive caregiving; ensure families understand and promote baby’s development across domains – motor, language, social emotional, and cognitive; and help provide families understand how babies learn through play.
Baby's 2nd Year
Months 13 - 24
Baby's 2nd Year provides information for the user as they support families navigating their baby’s second year. Content covered includes information to support healthy relationships among all family members; empower families to get their needs met and know how to access community resources; encourage dad/partner involvement; support family’s emotional and physical health; promote healthy nutrition and exercise habits for the whole family; understand and support their baby’s ongoing development across all domains – motor, language, social emotional, and cognitive; to help families understand the value of play how it supports school readiness skills; and support the family’s ability to provide responsive care and guidance to their older infant/young toddler.
Toddler's 3rd Year
Months 25 - 36
Toddler's 3rd Year provides information for the user to support families as they navigate through their toddler’s 3rd year. Content covered includes information to promote the family’s efforts to meet their goals; encourage dad/partner involvement; support family’s emotional and physical health; promote healthy nutrition and exercise habits for the whole family; understand and support their toddler's ongoing development across all domains – motor, language, social emotional, and cognitive; help families understand the value of play how it supports school readiness skills; and support the family’s ability to provide responsive care and guidance to their toddler.

The “Let’s Explore!” developmental activities curriculum supplement contains 35 interactive activities for parents to enjoy with their children.
